What is it prescribed for?

  • Myelodysplastic syndrome
    This medicine is used for the treatment of myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), a group of conditions where the bone marrow is not able to produce healthy blood cells. It is used in case of previously treated and newly diagnosed MDS, secondary MDS of various subtypes, as well as MDS of unknown origin.
  • Acute Myeloid Leukemia
    This medicine is also used for the treatment of adult patients (age >= 65) with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). It may be used in case of a previously treated or a newly diagnosed AML. It is generally used in patients who are not candidates for standard induction chemotherapy.

Deczuba is not a vesicant and is not known to cause severe local tissue damage upon extravasation (leaking of injected Deczuba into the surrounding tissues from the site of administration) when injected
