 Introduction

MONOPAS 1000MG TABLET contains Sodium Aminosalicylate which belongs to the group of medicines called Antitubercular agents. It is used to treat tuberculosis that cannot be controlled by other medicines.

Tuberculosis is a serious bacterial infection caused by a bacterium called Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It is characterized by persistent cough with mucus, blood-stained phlegm, shortness of breath, weight loss, fever, extreme tiredness, stomach pain, headache and fits.

Take MONOPAS 1000MG TABLET for the stipulated duration instructed by your doctor even if you feel better during the midway of the therapy to achieve better results. Failing to complete the full course of the therapy or skipping doses in between the therapy may not result in adequate infection control.

Before taking MONOPAS 1000MG TABLET inform your doctor if you have any liver, kidney, or heart problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have HIV infection, stomach ulcer, thyroid problems or high blood pressure.

 How to Use

Nausea or vomiting:

Diarrhea:

MONOPAS 1000MG TABLET may cause diarrhea in some individuals. If you experience diarrhea, drink plenty of fluids, such as water or fruit juice to keep yourself hydrated. Consuming ORS can also be beneficial. Do not consume any medicine on your own without consulting your doctor. If your diarrhea worsens or if you experience blood-stained stools, contact your doctor immediately.

Stomach pain:

Try to rest and relax. Eat and drink slowly or try to have smaller and frequent meals. Keep a heat pad on your stomach. If the symptom does not improve, contact your doctor.
