Description

 Introduction

Elobopa is a thrombopoietin receptor agonist, which treats the following indications:

  • Treatment of chronic immune response to corticosteroids, immunoglobulin or splenectomy (idiopathic Sexual) Thrombocytopenia (ITP) thrombocytopenia in adults and patients over one year old. Abopa only applies to ITP patients with thrombocytopenia and clinical symptoms that increase the risk of bleeding.
  • Platelets of chronic hepatitis C patients who allow basic interferon therapy as initial treatment and maintenance treatment cut back. Aibopa is only used in patients with chronic hepatitis C, and its thrombocytopenia can prevent basic interferon therapy Or limit the ability of basic interferon therapy to maintain treatment. Abopa and non-interferon treatment anti-hepatitis C infection The safety and effectiveness of the combination of antiviral drugs have not been established.
  • Patients with severe aplastic anemia who do not respond adequately to immunosuppressive therapy.

 Warning & Precautions
  • Liver toxicity: monitor liver toxicity before and during treatment.
  • Increase the risk of progression and death from myelodysplastic syndrome to acute myeloid leukemia.
  • Thrombus/thromboembolic complications: patients with chronic liver disease have reported portal vein blood during the period of receiving Ibopa bolt. Monitor the platelet count regularly.

 How to Use

Administration method: take it on an empty stomach (1 hour before meals or 2 hours after meals).

  • Chronic ITP: In most adults and children over 6 years of age, the starting dose of Ibopar is 50 mg once a day. The starting dose for children aged 1-5 years is 25m once a day. Some patients of East Asian descent and patients with liver injury need To reduce the dose. Adjust the platelet count to be greater than or equal to 50×109/L. Do not exceed the daily dose 75mg.
  • Chronic hepatitis C with thrombocytopenia: all patients have an initial dose of 25 mg once a day. Adjustment The platelet count is required when the antiviral treatment starts. Do not exceed 100mg per day.
  • Severe aplastic anemia: The initial dose is 50 mg once a day in most patients. East Asian descent Patients and patients with liver injury reduce the initial dose. Adjust the platelet count to be greater than or equal to 50×109 /L. Do not exceed the daily dose of 150mg.

 Side Effects

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them

  • In adult ITP patients, the most common adverse reactions (≥5% and more than placebo): nausea, Diarrhea, upper respiratory tract infection, vomiting, decreased ALT, myalgia and urinary tract infection.
  • Among ITP patients one year and older, the most common adverse reactions (≥10% and more than placebo): Upper respiratory tract infection and nasopharyngitis.
  • Among patients with hepatitis C and thrombocytopenia, the most common adverse reactions (≥10% and more than placebo): Anemia, fever, fatigue, headache, nausea, diarrhea, loss of appetite, flu-like illness, weakness, insomnia, Cough, itching, cold, myalgia, alopecia and peripheral edema.
  • In patients with severe aplastic anemia, the most common adverse reactions (≥20%): nausea, fatigue Labor, cough, diarrhea and headache.
